Darius has ASD and sensory issues are one of our biggest hurdles. the security of feeling surrounded, hugged, hidden, is very calming. Recently we were watching The Polar Express, Darius became so excited about the train coming scene that he began throwing everything withing sight, jumping on furniture, and stimming with noise. He did this twice at this scene. We asked him to sit in his Made4Me chair and watched the same scene over….and although is was happy, he did not throw, scream, or stim. He just LAUGHED!! As he did this I thought, I wish I had video of this because I don’t think many understand how a chair can be a life changer in someone without “visible” disabilities.
