Our Adaptations
Dreaming of and creating a piece of special needs furniture is a great joy. The process can be life-changing for everyone involved. From the inspired to the dreamers, to the makers, each adding a bit of themselves to the process brings unending satisfaction and love. We make a variety of adaptations:

Mobility
What is required to ensure that a child can move, be fully engaged, and be learning throughout the day?
Work / Study / Play
What type of furniture would support the child’s development that could lead to employment, learning, and enjoyment?
Positioning
Is there the ability of the piece for multiple positions of the child throughout the day?

Step 2: Consultation meeting (1-2 weeks)

M4M meets with you, your child, and your PT/OT in person to discuss adaptation ideas and take measurements.
Step 3: M4M builds (6-8 weeks)
M4M’s fabricators design and build the adaptation using our industrial-strength cardboard.

Step 4: Trial and feedback (1-2 weeks)

Meet with M4M to verify that the adaptation was built to the specifications and needs of the child.
Step 5: Final delivery (3-4 weeks)
Made4Me paints and decorates the adaptation, making abilities possible for your loved one!

Why Cardboard?
We make all of our items out of industrial strength cardboard. We use this because it is lightweight, durable, and easy to work with. In fact, most of the tables, chairs, and furniture in our workshop are made of cardboard!
